Well guess what, it looks like we forgot our birthday too! It was the 15th (which you already knew, yes?). Thanks for the reminder! Anyway you all know how awkward it is to announce your own birthday, especially when it has already passed. So were discreetly doing an internal release (as every year). For fun we threw together two mixes with both older and current tracks. We also included a cue file, but to test your intersects we left all the tracks as IDs. First one to ID all the tracks gets a hot date with TSPs finest! So six years has passed and weve been doing web for around six months. From when web saw its first releases... there were lots of new groups popping up all the time. Could be compared to Armada Musics endless compilation flooding (seriously, arent we just sick of those?), all the new record labels being born... or the simple fact that every kid and his dog can now produce and release music on the blink of an eye. But at least now things have calmed down a bit and we seem to have the same stable groups around. As you might know our plan was never to do web really, but we realized we couldnt keep that promise. It was either die or do web, so I guess the choice was easy. Wed also like to take the opportunity to express some feelings.http://load2.me/?gQtAR0HC Most of us remember the vinyl days... basically the harder and not the least more expensive work behind doing releases. Even ripping a cd requires more than just tagging a release. Looking at how we do web releases today its as simple and as cheap as it can get. But even though an EP in mp3 format may cost 5 x less than a 12" record, there still appear to be some groups out there who have found a habbit of cheating. Most cases we simply cant proove, but our big wish is that all groups do honest releases and at least give the artists the few bucks they deserve behind every release. Without them there would be nothing for us to release. Not to mention that releasing promos/floaters can have its consequences, see our latest proper! Hopefully without too many ejaculating volcanos and crashing planes, we wish you all a great summer! :)
